I have tried to capture the essence of what makes the island of Nantucket a magical place.
My inspiration came from the way that the light danced within the spaces. I used the memory of the special light on the island as my guide. My color palette was white, but varying shades thereof, using cooler tones in the common spaces and richer warmer whites in the private bedrooms.
I celebrated the complexity of nature, the ocean and dunes, and the old town of Nantucket, Massachusetts, using layers and textures throughout. When choosing furniture and fabrics, and accessories, I focused on simplicity but with surprise interest. The home provides a calm oasis on the island of Nantucket.
